    What is this course about?

    This course is aimed at beginners and those wishing to refresh their crochet skills. You’ll learn how to use a Tunisian crochet hook, create basic stitches, how read a pattern, and use different colours. Time is allocated to allow you to work on your new skills.

    Who is this course for?

    For people who want to learn how to learn how to crochet basic Tunisian crochet stitches and complete simple projects.

    Entry Requirements to do this course:

    A basic level of conversational and written English is required plus reasonable small motor skills, as you will need to hold yarn and a hook. 

    How you will be assessed?

    Through questions and answers, the completion of weekly learner reflection forms and a sample of your work completed during the session.

    How much studying will I need to do outside of the lesson?

    An hour or two per week to practice skills covered during each session.

    After this course you might like to… attend our Amigurumi crochet course or another of our craft themed courses.

    What learners need to bring/supply

    Students will need to provide a 4-5mm Tunisian hook, yarn (double knit), scissors. A full list of materials required will be provided with your booking confirmation.

    The amount of time practising is totally up to you but the more you put in, the more you will get out of this course.

    *Except for the registration fee, this course is fully funded by The Education & Skills Funding Agency for adults who meet the following criteria:

    • A Hertfordshire Resident
    • Aged 19 years or older on 1st September 2023
    • UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years
