What is this course about?

During the course you will be shown how to sew five different projects which contain a range of sewing techniques including fitting a zip, sewing darts and creating buttonholes. 

Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at those who have sewn in the past and feel they need a refresher.  Plus, those who can complete basic projects and wish to extend their knowledge.

Entry Requirements to do this course:

A basic level of conversational and written English. Reasonable motor skills, as you will need to be able to manipulate fabric and tools. Plus, you will need a working sewing machine and basic tools and materials.

How you will be assessed?

Through questions and answers, the completion of weekly learner reflection forms and a sample of your work completed during the session.

How much studying will I need to do outside of the lesson?

You will need to spend an hour to prepare your fabric for the following week.

We have a small selection of fabric for students to choose from plus a range of tools that can be used during the session. If you do not have a sewing machine, we have some available to borrow during the session. If there are more students wishing to borrow a machine than machines, then students may have to share.

The amount of time practising is totally up to you but the more you put in, the more you will get out of this course.
