What is this workshop about?
This workshop will cover a range of topics related to decimals, fractions, and percentages, providing participants with the skills to work confidently with these mathematical concepts in both academic and practical settings. You will learn:
- The place value system for decimal places
- Applying decimal operations in real life scenarios
- Understanding the concept of decimals and their relationship to fractions
- Representing percentages using decimals and fractions
- Converting between decimals fractions and percentages
Who is this workshop for?
This course is for learners with basic knowledge of percentages, decimals and fractions.
Entry Requirements to do this workshop:
A basic level of conversational and written English is needed to complete this course.

Online live streamed - Google Classroom
Venue Information
This course/workshop is run as real-time online using Google Classroom. This means that instead of having to go to a classroom, the classroom comes to you! You are taught by a teacher and you will have classmates that you share ideas with. To take part you will need a tablet or laptop/computer with a webcam and microphone to enable you to interact. A few days before the start, your teacher will email you with instructions on how to join the class.

This workshop is fully funded by the Department of Education for Education for adults who meet the following criteria:
- Aged 19 years or older on 1st September 2023.
- A Hertfordshire resident.
- A UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years.
- Do not hold a Maths GCSE qualification.
