All staff, volunteers, family carers, direct employers and their PA’s who work with people with Diabetes
Aim:
To provide staff with an understanding of Diabetes as a condition and how to support an individual with Diabetes
Course Content:
- What is Diabetes?
- To understand the different types of Diabetes
- To understand differences between hypo and hyperglycemia
- To understand risks associated with hypoglycemia
- Increase awareness of correlations between dietary recommendations, exercises and weight management for people with diabetes
- To understand blood glucose monitoring
- To understand management of Diabetes
- Health statistics
