    What is this workshop about?

    The following topics will be included during this workshop:

    • Learn how to navigate and identify the main functions of the device, what the icons are and the key features.
    • Identify the options found in Settings and demonstrate how to use these.
    • Adding contacts, use the functions in messaging apps
    • Basic use of Apps, including App stores, notifications, how to download, remove and arrange.

    Who is this workshop for?

    This course is for people who want to learn how to use the key features and basic functions of their smartphone.

    Entry Requirements to do this workshop:

    A basic level of conversational and written English is needed to complete this course.

    How you will be assessed?

    Discussions and observation of completing tasks on your device. You will also be asked to complete a Learner reflection.

    What learners need to bring/supply

    A fully charged and working smart phone will be required as these will be used in the session. Note pad and pen.

    *Except for the registration fee, this course/workshop is fully funded by The Education & Skills Funding Agency for adults who meet the following criteria:

    • A Hertfordshire Resident
    • Aged 19 years or older on 31st August 2024
    • UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years
