What is this workshop about?
Fractions may seem like an abstract concept at first but as you progress through this workshop, you will develop the skills to confidently work with fractions, solve problems and make informed decisions in various real-life situations. This workshop includes:
- Introduction to Fractions and Fraction vocabulary
- Comparing Fractions by using real life examples
- Equivalent Fractions
- Proper and improper Fractions
- Word problems about Fractions
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is for learners with basic knowledge of numbers.
Entry Requirements to do this workshop:
A basic level of conversational and written English is needed to complete this course.
How you will be assessed?
Through questions and answers, the completion of learner reflection form.

Further information
This workshop is fully funded by the Department of Education for Education for adults who meet the following criteria:
- Aged 19 years or older on 1st September 2023.
- A Hertfordshire resident.
- A UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years.
- Do not hold a Maths GCSE qualification.
