    What is this workshop about?

    This workshop will introduce you to how to protect yourself from potential threats to your personal safety online. Technology plays a big part in most people’s lives and we need to protect ourselves from scams and phishing.

    Discover why a healthy relationship with technology is important, and how you can become more aware of your own online usage.

    Discover different tools you can use to help you develop and maintain healthy tech habits. Reflect on your relationship with tech and get tips and tools to help you achieve your personal sense of digital wellbeing.

    Who is this workshop for?

    This workshop is for people who want to learn how to improve their general online safety and digital wellbeing

    Entry Requirements to do this workshop:

    A basic level of conversational and written English is needed to complete this course.

    How you will be assessed?

    Question and answer, discussion and learner reflection.

    What learners need to bring/supply 

    Learners must have access to a laptop, tablet or desktop computer with good wifi and a webcam.

    Except for the registration fee, this course/workshop is fully funded by The Department for Education Adult Skills Fund, for adults who meet the following criteria:

    • A Hertfordshire Resident
    • Aged 19 years or older on 31st August 2025
    • A UK national or anyone with a lawful immigration status in the UK. You will not be eligible if you are in the UK under any of the following conditions:
      • On a student visa
      • On a sponsorship visa
      • On a visa or residence permit that restricts or prohibits study
      • In the UK on holiday (with or without a visa)
