What is this course about?
Understanding how to successfully use social media as a marketing tool to build your business brand or gain employment in a company.
Who is this course for?
Someone who wishes to utilise social media to build their business or to gain employment in a company where part or all their role is to use social media to increase sales and awareness of the company’s brand.
Entry Requirements to do this course:
A basic level of conversational and written English is required plus basic computer skills.
How you will be assessed?
Through questions and answers and the completion of weekly learner reflection forms.
How much studying will I need to do outside of the lesson?
Approximately 1-2 hours per week.
Each week a task will be set. How much time you allocate to this task is up to you. However, the more time spent on the task the more you will gain.

NOTE: This course is for Hertfordshire Residents Only - *With the exception of the registration fee, this course/workshop is fully funded by The Education & Skills Funding Agency for adults who meet a set criteria - please see further details under the 'Further Information' heading.

Online live streamed - Google Classroom
Venue Information
This course/workshop is run as real-time online using Google Classroom. This means that instead of having to go to a classroom, the classroom comes to you! You are taught by a teacher and you will have classmates that you share ideas with. To take part you will need a tablet or laptop/computer with a webcam and microphone to enable you to interact. A few days before the start, your teacher will email you with instructions on how to join the class.

Except for the registration fee, this course/workshop is fully funded by The Department for Education Adult Skills Fund, for adults who meet the following criteria:
- A Hertfordshire Resident
- Aged 19 years or older on 31st August 2025
- A UK national or anyone with a lawful immigration status in the UK. You will not be eligible if you are in the UK under any of the following conditions:
- On a student visa
- On a sponsorship visa
- On a visa or residence permit that restricts or prohibits study
- In the UK on holiday (with or without a visa)
