    What is this course about?

    This workshop will give you more control with your finances and help you save money by reducing unnecessary expenditure. You will learn how to:

    • Develop an understanding of budgeting.
    • Identifying your Income (weekly, monthly)
    • Identifying you Expenditure (weekly, monthly)
    • Identifying unnecessary expenditure
    • Work out the difference between the total income and total expenditure

    Who is this course for?

    The workshop is for those who would like to know more about budgeting.

    Entry Requirements to do this course:

    A basic level of conversational and written English is required.

    How you will be assessed?

    Through questions and answers, the completion of learner reflection form.

    Venue Information

    This course/workshop is run as real-time online using Google Classroom. This means that instead of having to go to a classroom, the classroom comes to you! You are taught by a teacher and you will have classmates that you share ideas with. To take part you will need a tablet or laptop/computer with a webcam and microphone to enable you to interact. A few days before the start, your teacher will email you with instructions on how to join the class.

    This course is fully funded by The Department for Education for adults who meet the following criteria:

    • Aged 19 years or older on 1st September 2023.
    • A Hertfordshire resident
    • A UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years
    • Do not hold a Maths GCSE qualification.
