What is this workshop about?
This course is designed to support students studying for levels 1 and 2 functional skills maths. It will help them to approach revision for their maths test in an organised and effective way. It will discuss ways to help manage exam nerves and ways to support them with feelings of anxiety or stress associated with sitting exams.
Who is this workshop for?
Learners who are preparing for maths exams and assessments – for example, functional skills levels 1 and 2.
Entry Requirements to do this workshop:
A basic level of conversational and written English is needed to complete this course.
How you will be assessed?
Through questions and answers, discussion and completion of learner reflection form.
After this workshop you might like to… complete further multiply courses, such as an introduction to decimals, fractions and percentages, or progress to an accredited course.

Online live streamed - Google Classroom
Venue Information
This course/workshop is run as real-time online using Google Classroom. This means that instead of having to go to a classroom, the classroom comes to you! You are taught by a teacher and you will have classmates that you share ideas with. To take part you will need a tablet or laptop/computer with a webcam and microphone to enable you to interact. A few days before the start, your teacher will email you with instructions on how to join the class.
Further information
This workshop is fully funded by the Department of Education for Education for adults who meet the following criteria:
- Aged 19 years or older on 1st September 2024.
- A Hertfordshire resident.
- A UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years.
- Do not hold a Maths GCSE qualification.
