What is this course about?
This workshop will introduce you to how to protect yourself from potential threats to your personal safety online and will cover the following topics:
- Exploring the dangers and benefits of the internet
- Identify different web endings and their meaning
- Discuss internet jargons and what they mean
- Gain general information about the Internet
Who is this course for?
Anyone who would like to protect themselves whilst using the internet.
Entry Requirements to do this course:
No previous knowledge is required, however a basic level of conversational and written English is needed to complete this workshop. You must also have basic IT skills.

Online live streamed - Google Classroom
Venue Information
This course/workshop is run as real-time online using Google Classroom. This means that instead of having to go to a classroom, the classroom comes to you! You are taught by a teacher and you will have classmates that you share ideas with. To take part you will need a tablet or laptop/computer with a webcam and microphone to enable you to interact. A few days before the start, your teacher will email you with instructions on how to join the class.

- A Hertfordshire Resident
- Aged 19 years or older on 1st September 2022
- UK National and lived in UK for last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in EEA for last 3 years
