What is this Course about?
This qualification aims to provide strategies that can be used by learners to enhance their personal resilience so that they may effectively navigate challenges posed in everyday life with confidence and positive action. It will help learners to develop an understanding of how to identify situations that may require personal resilience and the methods and strategies that can be introduced to deal with them.
Who is this Course for?
This is for anyone who or would like to learn method and strategies in these topics, alongside gaining a qualification
Entry Requirements to do this Course:
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification.
A good level of conversational and written English is needed to complete this course.
To be fully funded:
- Learners must be aged 19 or over and a resident in Hertfordshire.
- Either, unemployed* and claiming benefits or earning under the National Living Wage - £25,000 per year.

How you will be assessed?
You will complete written questions to meet the requirements of this unit. Ongoing assessment will take place in the classes in the form of discussion.
How much studying will I need to do outside of the lesson?
1-2 hours per week to complete any further learning and the assessment
What learners need to bring/supply
Learners will need a PC or laptop with good Wi-Fi and a webcam or built-in camera.
Please note a mobile device alone will not suffice.

Online live streamed - Google Classroom
Venue Information
This course/workshop is run as real-time online using Google Classroom. This means that instead of having to go to a classroom, the classroom comes to you! You are taught by a teacher and you will have classmates that you share ideas with. To take part you will need a tablet or laptop/computer with a webcam and microphone to enable you to interact. A few days before the start, your teacher will email you with instructions on how to join the class.

Except for the registration fee, this course is fully funded by The Department for Education Adult Skills Fund, for adults who meet the following criteria:
- A Hertfordshire Resident
- Aged 19 years or older on 31st August 2025
- A UK national or anyone with a lawful immigration status in the UK. You will not be eligible if you are in the UK under any of the following conditions:
- On a student visa
- On a sponsorship visa
- On a visa or residence permit that restricts or prohibits study
- In the UK on holiday (with or without a visa)
To be fully funded you will also need to be either unemployed and claiming benefits or working and earning below £25,750
