What is this Course about?

This unit aims to provide a basic understanding of what is meant by the term Equality and Diversity and how it might impact everyday life. This unit will help learners to develop a knowledge and understanding of how to identify both positive and negative discrimination, attitudes and beliefs and provide skills to help develop techniques to adjust own attitude and influence others.  

Who is this Course for?

This is for anyone who or would like to learn more and gain a qualification in Equality and Diversity.

Entry Requirements to do this Course:

There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification.

A good level of conversational and written English is needed to complete this course.

To be fully funded:

• Learners must be aged 19 or over and a resident in Hertfordshire.
• Either, unemployed* and claiming benefits or earning under the National Living Wage - £25,000 per year.
• Or, do not have a full Level 2 qualification or above (this excludes maths and English). Other L2 exclusions may apply.

How you will be assessed?

You will complete written questions to meet the requirements of this unit. Ongoing assessment will take place in the classes in the form of discussion.

How much studying will I need to do outside of the lesson?

1-2 hours per week to complete any further learning and the assessment

What learners need to bring/supply

Learners must have a laptop or tablet with a working camera to access Google Classroom and reliable wifi.
