What is this course about?
The Level 3 Diploma in Leadership and Management is suited to new or practising team leaders seeking to move up to the next level of management, and managers who need to lead people through organisational change. This course will help you gain a range of key management skills and build your leadership capabilities.
Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at new or aspiring first line managers or those with more line management experience who are looking to cement their experience and gain a recognised qualification.
Entry Requirements to do this course:
A good level of conversational and written English is needed to complete this course. Learners must be aged 19 and over and earning under the National Living Wage.
How you will be assessed?
You will be expected to attend the classes each week and participate in the group discussions. Following the classes, you will need to complete a written assignment each week which will form part of your portfolio.
How much studying will I need to do outside of the lesson?
Between 4-6 hours per week outside of the session depending on the unit. You will need to make time to complete this weekly, to meet homework deadlines and to keep up with the qualification.

What learners need to bring/supply
As the course is online, you will need a PC or laptop with good wifi and a webcam or built-in camera. (A mobile device or tablet/ipad alone will not suffice)

This is an intensive qualification which does require a high level of commitment. The assignment deadlines and the end date must be met on time.

Venue Information
This course/workshop is run as real-time online using Google Classroom. This means that instead of having to go to a classroom, the classroom comes to you! You are taught by a teacher and you will have classmates that you share ideas with. To take part you will need a tablet or laptop/computer with a webcam and microphone to enable you to interact. A few days before the start, your teacher will email you with instructions on how to join the class.

To be eligible for our courses, learners will need to be:
- Aged 19 years or older on 1st September 2023.
- UK National and lived in the UK for last the 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years.
- Hertfordshire resident.
- Unemployed and claiming benefits or working and earning below £20,319
