    What is this workshop about?

    This workshop will provide you with information, skills and tips to search for jobs effectively, personal brand, online applications and remote interviewing techniques.

    Session 1

    • How to use LinkedIn and create a good profile and personal brand
    • What you can do to be noticed by employers
    • Effectively prepare for online job searching and submitting applications

    Session 2

    • How to use video conferencing platforms
    • How to get ready for an online interview
    • Interviewing skills and techniques
    • Interview questions preparation

    Who is this workshop for?

    For people who would like information and advice in online job searches, preparing for online applications and remote interviews

    Entry Requirements to do this workshop:

    A basic level of conversational and written English is required. Good digital skills are desirable. 

    How you will be assessed?

    Questions and answers, discussion and observations.

    How much studying will I need to do outside of the lesson?

    None. It will be advised to use the skills learnt after the first session and practise on your own documents and devices.

    Attend other workshops – CV writing and Find your Career path. Further improve your knowledge and skills by attending courses in MSWord, Excel & PowerPoint, Digital skills for work and Employability & work skills. There are several accredited courses in various sectors if you would like to gain qualifications. These can be found on the Step2Skills website. 

    What learners need to bring/supply

    A note pad and pen, a smartphone, device or a laptop would be beneficial to use during the classes.

    NOTE: This course is for Hertfordshire Residents Only - *With the exception of the registration fee, this course is fully funded by The Education & Skills Funding Agency for adults who meet a set criteria - please see further details under the 'Further Information' heading.

    *Except for the registration fee, this course is fully funded by The Education & Skills Funding Agency for adults who meet the following criteria:

    • A Hertfordshire Resident
    • Aged 19 years or older on 1st September 2023
    • UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years
