What is this course about?

Are you interested in volunteering or working in a nursery or pre-school?

This introductory course will explore childcare provision in early years settings. You will discover how babies and young children learn and develop. You will find out about the roles and responsibilities of carers and volunteers in early years settings. You will also be given guidance on applying for jobs in schools, where to find vacancies and how to ‘sell’ yourself on an application form.

Who is this course for?

Adults who are interested in working or volunteering in an early years setting.

Entry Requirements to do this course:

A good level of conversational and written English is required.

How you will be assessed?

Through weekly Learner Reflections.

How much studying will I need to do outside of the lesson?

Optional homework.

What learners need to bring/supply

You must have a tablet or laptop with a working camera that can access Google Classroom.

Additional Information

Please note that this is a live interactive online course for adults, learners will be expected to have their camera on and participate fully at all times.
