What is this workshop about?
This is an introductory workshop focusing on the fundamental features of Microsoft Excel for both personal and professional use.
In this workshop you will learn:
- The key features of an Excel spreadsheet.
- Formatting data.
- Using data to create and modify charts.
- Basic formulas and functions including calculations.
Who is this workshop for?
This course is for learners who are new to Excel and want to learn about, and practice using its key features. It is also suitable for anyone needing a refresher of the basics.
Entry Requirements to do this workshop:
Basic conversational and written English is required to complete this course. You must also have a basic level of computer skills.

What learners need to bring/supply
Learners must have access to Microsoft Excel and a laptop or desktop.
Additional Information
It will be advised to use the skills learnt after the workshop to practise on your own Excel documents and devices.

Online live streamed - Google Classroom
Venue Information
This course/workshop is run as real-time online using Google Classroom. This means that instead of having to go to a classroom, the classroom comes to you! You are taught by a teacher and you will have classmates that you share ideas with. To take part you will need a tablet or laptop/computer with a webcam and microphone to enable you to interact. A few days before the start, your teacher will email you with instructions on how to join the class.

- A Hertfordshire Resident
- Aged 19 years or older on 31st August 2024
- UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years
