What is this course about?
This introductory course is designed to give you a basic understanding and knowledge of key topics relating to mental health and well-being. This includes information about terminology that is often used, an overview of common mental health conditions, the impact of lifestyle on mind and body and ways to support yourself and others.
Who is this course for?
This course serves as a taster for the level 2 Mental Health & Well-being qualification. It can also be studied as a standalone course. It may be suitable for those who work in education/health & social care settings, supporting clients or service users with mental health problems. It may also be of interest to those who are familiar with but want to learn more about mental health, for personal reasons such as to support a close family member.
Entry Requirements to do this course:
A good level of conversational and written English is required.

Online live streamed - Google Classroom
Venue Information
This course/workshop is run as real-time online using Google Classroom. This means that instead of having to go to a classroom, the classroom comes to you! You are taught by a teacher and you will have classmates that you share ideas with. To take part you will need a tablet or laptop/computer with a webcam and microphone to enable you to interact. A few days before the start, your teacher will email you with instructions on how to join the class.

- A Hertfordshire Resident
- Aged 19 years or older on 31st August 2024
- UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years
