    What is this workshop about?

    This course will introduce you to Google Sheets. You will learn how to navigate, share, and save documents in Google Drive. You will also cover inputting, filtering, and sorting data within Google Sheets. We will consider how Google Sheets can be used to support day-to-day activities and complete simple mathematical calculations using formulas. 

    Who is this workshop for?  

    Anybody who wishes to gain an understanding of Google Sheets to use in everyday life. 

    Entry Requirements to do this workshop:
    A basic level of conversational English will be required to access the course. 

    How you will be assessed?

    Question and answer, group discussions, and a learner reflection form. 

    After this workshop you might like to… progress to further digital skills courses, such as ‘improving your skills in Excel’. 

    What learners need to bring/supply

    learners will need to have access to a computer. 

    NOTE: This course is for Hertfordshire Residents Only - This course is fully funded by The Education & Skills Funding Agency for adults who meet a set *criteria - please refer to the 'Further Information' tab.

    Online live streamed - Google Classroom

    Venue Information

    This course/workshop is run as real-time online using Google Classroom. This means that instead of having to go to a classroom, the classroom comes to you! You are taught by a teacher and you will have classmates that you share ideas with. To take part you will need a tablet or laptop/computer with a webcam and microphone to enable you to interact. A few days before the start, your teacher will email you with instructions on how to join the class.

    This course is fully funded by the Department of Education for Education for adults who meet the following criteria:

    • Aged 19 years or older on 1st August 2023.
    • A Hertfordshire resident.
    • A UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years.
    • Do not hold a Maths GCSE qualification.
