What is this workshop about?
This workshop is aimed at complete beginners and those wishing to refresh their crochet and number skills. You’ll learn how to use crochet tools and create basic crochet stitches. It is also a way to help improve your number skills by counting out your stitches and chain links to make your first crochet pattern.
Who is this workshop for?
For people who want to learn how to learn how to crochet the basic stitches and simple crochet projects such as a granny square.
Entry Requirements to do this workshop:
A basic level of conversational and written English is required plus reasonable small motor skills, as you will need to hold yarn and a hook.
How you will be assessed?
Through questions and answers, the completion learner reflection form.

Material supplied by Step2Skills
There will be hooks and yarn available for students to borrow. Whatever is completed during the session can be taken home. Tools will need to be returned at the end of the session. If you have your own tools, please feel free to bring them.
Please note we cannot guarantee yarn colours available so if you wish to work with your favourite colour you are advised to bring your own.
Additional Information
The amount of time practising is totally up to you but the more you put in, the more you will get out of this workshop.

This workshop is fully funded by the Department of Education for Education for adults who meet the following criteria:
- Aged 19 years or older on 1st August 2023.
- A Hertfordshire resident.
- A UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years.
- Do not hold a Maths GCSE qualification.
