What is this Course about?
This is an intermediate level course which will help you improve your skills and give you confidence in using Microsoft Word. The main areas that we will cover during this course are:

Find and Replace features. Intents and Tabs. Modify line and paragraph spacing in your documents.

Add and modify hyperlinks. Add and modify bulleted and numbered lists. Modify page orientation, margins and size.

How to add page, section, and column breaks. Working with columns.

Add and modify headers and footers. Add and modify page numbers. Using Editor

Working with Tables. Track Changes and Comments. Inspect and protect documents.
Who is this Course for?
This course is for people who are competent in using the basic Word skills and now want to learn more features and functions to further improve their skills.
Entry Requirements to do this Course:
A basic level of conversational and written English is needed to complete this course. You must also have a basic level of Microsoft Word and computer skills.
How you will be assessed?
Question & Answer, Discussions, and observations. You will also be asked to complete Learner reflections.
How much studying will I need to do outside of the lesson?
It will be advised to use the skills learnt in the classes and practise on your own Word documents and devices.
What learners need to bring/supply
Learners must have access to Microsoft Word and a laptop or desktop with good wifi and a webcam (if online).

Online live streamed - Google Classroom
Venue Information
This course/workshop is run as real-time online using Google Classroom. This means that instead of having to go to a classroom, the classroom comes to you! You are taught by a teacher and you will have classmates that you share ideas with. To take part you will need a tablet or laptop/computer with a webcam and microphone to enable you to interact. A few days before the start, your teacher will email you with instructions on how to join the class.

- A Hertfordshire Resident
- Aged 19 years or older on 31st August 2024
- UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years
