    About this event

    Course Code: 24478

    What is this workshop about?

This 2-hour taster will teach you how to use remnant fabrics/old clothes and odd buttons to create fabric flowers that can be used as embellishments for hats, bags, hair bands, gift boxes or made into a simple brooch.

    Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for those wishing to explore ways to be more sustainable through upcycling old clothes/fabric into fabric flowers which can be used to decorate a wide number of items.

Entry Requirements to do this workshop:

A basic level of conversational and written English. Good motor skills to be able to hand sew, thread needles and cut out templates/fabrics.

    How you will be assessed?

Through questions and answers, the completion of weekly learner reflection forms and a sample of your work completed during the session.

How much studying will I need to do outside of the lesson?

You will need to spend some time preparing your fabric prior to both sessions.

After this workshop you might like to… attend some of our other sewing courses such as Sewing for Complete Beginners or Brilliant Boxes (so you can add your fabric flowers to the projects you learn).

    Material supplied by Step2Skills

We supply all tools and materials on the day, but we are unable to guarantee colours so if you have a favourite, you are welcome to bring some with you. All projects completed in class are yours to take home.
