The course is split into 2 parts:
Preparing to study Functional Skills maths– will prepare you to study a Functional Skills qualification course. In this time your teacher will also assess you, to see if you are ready for a qualification course. At the end of this course, you will either progress on to the accredited course or you will stay on a tailored learning course for a little longer.
Functional Skills Level 1/Level 2- will give you the skills to use maths effectively in three areas, number, handling data and measure, shape and space (MSS).
You will be taught by a qualified teacher guiding you through the course. Your course will be taught twice a week, each class is 2.5 hrs.
Who is this course for?
