    What is this workshop about?

    This workshop will introduce you to the basics of MS Excel. You will learn:

    • Opening/saving/closing workbooks
    • Spreadsheet terminology
    • Entering and Editing data
    • Formatting text
    • Formatting rows and columns
    • Number formatting
    • Hiding/deleting/inserting rows and columns
    • Preparing to print

    Who is this workshop for?  

    This course is for complete beginners to MS Excel. 
    Take the Excel quiz - if you score below 70% this course is suitable for you.

    Entry Requirements to do this workshop:
    A basic level of conversational and written English is needed to complete this course. You must also have a basic level of computer skills. No experience of MS Excel is required.

    What learners need to bring/supply

    If you have a laptop or tablet please bring it with you. If you do not have one then there will be tablets available for you to use whilst you are in the centre.

    NOTE: This course is for Hertfordshire Residents Only - This course is fully funded by The Education & Skills Funding Agency for adults who meet a set *criteria - please refer to the 'Further Information' tab.

    Further information

    This course is fully funded by the Department of Education for Education for adults who meet the following criteria:

    • Aged 19 years or older on 1st August 2023.
    • A Hertfordshire resident.
    • A UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years.
    • Do not hold a Maths GCSE qualification.
