    What is the workshop about?

    The workshop is about looking at job roles, qualifications and skills needed to work in any industry. To discover your own skills and qualities, and how they can be transferred to suitable job roles. You will be using research skills to plan an early career path into any industry.

    Who is the workshop for?

    The workshop is for those who would like to know more about a variety of job roles and qualifications needed. For those looking to change career direction or start a new career.

    Any previous experience/qualifications you need to do this workshop?

    No previous experience or qualifications required, however conversational English and some digital skills for research and to access Google Classroom is desirable.

    How will you be assessed?

    Worksheets, question and answers, and evidence of research into planning an early career path.

    How will you learn?

    Through discussions, research and activities conducted online.

    NOTE: This course is for Hertfordshire Residents Only - This course is fully funded by The Education & Skills Funding Agency for adults who meet a set *criteria - please refer to the 'Further Information' tab.

    Venue Information

    This course/workshop is run as real-time online using Google Classroom. This means that instead of having to go to a classroom, the classroom comes to you! You are taught by a teacher and you will have classmates that you share ideas with. To take part you will need a tablet or laptop/computer with a webcam and microphone to enable you to interact. A few days before the start, your teacher will email you with instructions on how to join the class.

    Funding Criteria

    This course is fully funded by The Education & Skills Funding Agency for adults who meet the following criteria:

    • A Hertfordshire Resident
    • Aged 19 years or older on 1st September 2021
    • UK National and lived in UK for last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in EEA for last 3 years
