    What is this workshop about?

    This 2-hour workshop will show you how to use recycled materials to create Christmas cards and decorations. You will learn folding, cutting and layering techniques to make sustainable crafts you can be proud of.

    Who is this workshop for?

    This course is aimed towards people who are beginners in the art of paper crafting.

    Entry Requirements to do this workshop:

    A basic level of conversational and written English is needed to complete this course.

    How you will be assessed?

    Through questions and answers, the completion of a learner reflection form and a photograph of your work completed project/s.

    After this workshop you might like to… join some of our courses including Brilliant Boxes, hand-made fabric flowers, crochet for beginners or sewing for beginners.

    What learners need to supply

    Learners will require: A4 card, A4 paper, decorative paper (suggestions include old maps, books, music sheets, wallpaper), pencil, ruler, scissors, plus glue stick/glue dots and decorative bits such as ribbons, string, stickers or small old decorations.

    NOTE: This course is for Hertfordshire Residents Only - *This workshop is fully funded by The Education & Skills Funding Agency for adults who meet a set criteria - please see further details under the 'Further Information' heading.

    Online live streamed - Google Classroom

    Venue Information

    This course/workshop is run as real-time online using Google Classroom. This means that instead of having to go to a classroom, the classroom comes to you! You are taught by a teacher and you will have classmates that you share ideas with. To take part you will need a tablet or laptop/computer with a webcam and microphone to enable you to interact. A few days before the start, your teacher will email you with instructions on how to join the class.

    This workshop is fully funded by The Education & Skills Funding Agency for adults who meet the following criteria:

    • A Hertfordshire Resident
    • Aged 19 years or older on 1st September 2023
    • UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years
