What is this workshop about?
Explore this simple yet versatile form of poetry. Discover how you can use it to craft amusing or moving poems based on a subject of your choice. Be it your favourite animal, a shape, or an inanimate object. These poems could then be used to create cards or be the ‘anchor’ in a scrapbook layout.
Who is this workshop for?
Anyone (with or without poetry writing experience) who wishes to explore how to create a concrete poem.
Entry Requirements to do this workshop:
A basic level of conversational and written English is required plus basic computer skills.
How you will be assessed?
Through questions and answers, submission of at least one concrete poem and the completion of a learner reflection form.
After this workshop you might like to… attend one of our courses e.g Digital Scrapbooking, Journaling or Spring Crafts.

Online live streamed - Google Classroom
Venue Information
This course/workshop is run as real-time online using Google Classroom. This means that instead of having to go to a classroom, the classroom comes to you! You are taught by a teacher and you will have classmates that you share ideas with. To take part you will need a tablet or laptop/computer with a webcam and microphone to enable you to interact. A few days before the start, your teacher will email you with instructions on how to join the class.

*This workshop is fully funded by The Education & Skills Funding Agency for adults who meet the following criteria:
- A Hertfordshire Resident
- Aged 19 years or older on 1st September 2023
- UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years
