    About this event

    Course Code: 24477

    What is this workshop about?

This taster workshop will familiarise you with the basic anatomy of your sewing machine, to better understand how each function works.  You will also practice your sewing skills by making a draw string bag that can be adapted and used in a number of ways.

    Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is aimed at people who have little or no knowledge of how to use their own sewing machine and how to sew using a machine. It can also serve as a refresher for those who used to sew.

Entry Requirements to do this workshop:

A basic level of conversational and written English. Reasonable motor skills, as you will need to be able to manipulate fabric and tools. Plus, you will need a working sewing machine and basic tools and materials.

    How you will be assessed?

Through questions and answers, completion of a learner reflection form and a sample of your work completed during the session.

After this workshop you might like to… try our longer Beginners Sewing Course, Sewing for Intermediates, Handmade Fabric Flowers or Jewellery Making for Beginners.

    What learners need to bring/supply

All learners are required to bring their own sewing machine to the workshop. We have a small selection of fabric for learners to choose from, plus a range of tools that can be used during the session. We cannot supply any sewing machines for this course.

What happens after I book this workshop?
