    If English is not your first language, we have courses available to improve your English and gain a qualification. If you want to start from January, come and meet some of our teachers on this session. On the day we will check your language skills so that we can place you on the right course.

    Please bring:

    • Photo ID (Passport)
    • NI Number
    • Emergency contact details: name and number
    • Evidence of your residency status

    Please note:
    Our ESOL courses are fully funded by The Education & Skills Funding Agency for adults who meet the following criteria:

    • Aged 19 years or older on 1st September 2024.
    • UK National and lived in UK for last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in EEA for last 3 years.
    • Unemployed and claiming benefits or earning below £25,000.
    • Learners should also be a Hertfordshire resident.

    There are some exceptions to this, for example the Homes for Ukraine scheme. If you do not meet the above criteria, or have any questions, please contact us on 01992 556194 or email step2skills@Hertfordshire.gov.uk
