    What is this workshop about?

    This workshop is an opportunity for you to improve your confidence in numeracy skills. It covers calculations, decimals, fractions, percentages, shapes and data. Learners can work independently on the topics that they choose with the support of a tutor. 

    Who is this workshop for?

    Anybody who wishes to improve their confidence in numeracy skills.

    Entry Requirements to do this workshop:

    A level of conversational English is required to access the resources on this course. 

    How you will be assessed?

    Through topic-specific questions.

    After this workshop you might like to… complete further numeracy courses, such as ‘Numeracy for ESOL’ or ‘Supporting children with maths’. Some learners may feel ready to progress to accredited learning, such as Functional Skills.

    Material supplied by Step2Skills

    Access to resources via the platform ‘Century’. For a face-to-face workshop, Step2Skills will provide laptops. 

    What learners need to bring/supply

    You will be asked to complete an enrolment form at the start of the course. Please bring along one form of ID to facilitate this.

    NOTE: This workshop is for Hertfordshire Residents Only - *This workshop is fully funded by The Education & Skills Funding Agency for adults who meet a set criteria - please see further details under the 'Further Information' heading.

    Parking

    There are 22 standard and 2 disabled parking spaces run by Creative Parking which means anyone that parks in the car park must register their vehicle on the terminals inside the hall.

    Venue Information

    The largest hall in the Sawbridgeworth area. The space offers a spacious foyer which leads into the Main hall which has a stage with theatre lighting, a fully licensed bar, plus kitchen. There is also a small hall

    Further information

    This workshop is fully funded by the Department of Education for Education for adults who meet the following criteria:

    • Aged 19 years or older on 1st September 2024.
    • A Hertfordshire resident.
    • A UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years.
    • Do not hold a Maths GCSE qualification.
