What is this course about?
Using simple to obtain materials, discover how to create a range of small decorative boxes ideal for wrapping gifts or used as table setting etc. During the session you will learn paper-based crafting techniques. We will also explore how to upcycle and reuse paper and card items you may normally throw away.
Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at people who want to create paper/card-based projects using a variety of crafting skills plus keep costs down by thinking sustainability.
Entry Requirements to do this course:
A basic level of conversational and written English and reasonable motor skills as you will need to be able to manipulate tools and materials.
How you will be assessed?
Through questions and answers, the completion of weekly learner reflection forms and a sample of your work completed during the session.
Material supplied by Step2Skills
All tools and materials will be supplied. However, we cannot guarantee colours etc. so if you wish to work with your favourite colour, please feel free bring your own. We also encourage crafting sustainably so do bring items you can upcycle e.g. old card, wall paper, packaging etc.

Equipped with Wi-Fi and benefitting from extensive, free, on site parking, the Emmaus Centre is loved and used by a growing number of local community groups. Offering a warm, welcoming space with great transport links we are already used by a number of commercial groups

- A Hertfordshire Resident
- Aged 19 years or older on 31st August 2024
- UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years
