What is this workshop about?
This is a practical workshop that will take you through some basic tasks using a computer. You will learn how to use some of the functions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, email, and the internet.
Who is this workshop for?
Anybody who would like to build their confidence and skills in using a computer.
Entry Requirements to do this workshop:
No previous knowledge is required. A basic level of conversational English is needed to access the course.
How you will be assessed?
Question and Answer, group discussion and learner reflection.
After this workshop you might like to… attend other digital workshops, such as ‘first steps to Excel’.
Material supplied by Step2Skills
Workbook and laptops (on request). Learners may wish to bring their own laptops.

This workshop is fully funded by the Department of Education for Education for adults who meet the following criteria:
- Aged 19 years or older on 1st September 2023.
- A Hertfordshire resident.
- A UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years.
- Do not hold a Maths GCSE qualification.
