What is this Course about?
Amigurumi is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small, stuffed yarn creatures. This course is aimed at people who wish to learn this art and crochet their own Amigurumi dolls or animals.
Who is this Course for?
For people who have a basic knowledge of crochet and can complete a chain and a double stitch and wish to build of their skills. So, they can create their own Amigurumi crocheted dolls or animals.
Entry Requirements to do this Course:
A basic level of conversational and written English is required plus reasonable small motor skills, as you will need to hold yarn and hook.
How you will be assessed?
Through questions and answers, the completion of weekly learner reflection forms and a sample of your crochet that has been completed during the session.
How much studying will I need to do outside of the lesson?
An hour or two per week to practice skills covered during each session.
What learners need to bring/supply
Students will need to provide a 3-4mm hook, yarn (double knit), scissors.
Additional Information
The amount of time practising is totally up to you but the more you put in, the more you will get out of this course.

Online live streamed - Google Classroom
Venue Information
This course/workshop is run as real-time online using Google Classroom. This means that instead of having to go to a classroom, the classroom comes to you! You are taught by a teacher and you will have classmates that you share ideas with. To take part you will need a tablet or laptop/computer with a webcam and microphone to enable you to interact. A few days before the start, your teacher will email you with instructions on how to join the class.

- A Hertfordshire Resident
- Aged 19 years or older on 31st August 2024
- UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years
