What is this course about?
This course provides a thorough and practical introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI, exploring how these technologies can be used both at work and in everyday life.
Learners will be introduced to AI in a wider context, including key terms and definitions, before exploring what Generative AI is, how it works, and the different ways it can be used. Through demonstrations and practical activities, learners will discover how AI tools can help increase productivity and creativity, simplify repetitive or time-consuming tasks, support problem-solving, and make everyday activities easier.
The workshop will explore a range of useful AI tools and real-world applications, giving learners the opportunity to try Generative AI for themselves. By the end of the session, learners will have a greater understanding of the benefits, possibilities and considerations of using AI, along with the confidence to begin applying it to tasks in their work, home and everyday lives.

This course is designed for anyone with little or no previous knowledge of Artificial Intelligence who would like to understand more about AI and how it can be used at work and in everyday life.
