What is this course about?
This introductory level course will help you to gain a range of basic management skills and improve your understanding of how to start building upon your leadership capabilities. It will equip you with information about the manager’s role and responsibilities, introduce you to key theories around learning styles & goalsetting, you will explore several important management skills, including time management, action planning and performance development.
Who is this course for?
This course would suit new or aspiring managers including practising team leaders seeking to move up to the next level in their career. If you have previously completed Level 1 or level 2 courses in Business studies, Business admin or Management and are wanting to gain more knowledge and skills or are thinking about a higher-level qualification. Then this course serves as an introductory course for our Level 2 qualification in Team Leading and Level 3 qualification in Leadership and Management.
Entry Requirements to do this course:
A good level of conversational and written English is needed to complete this course.
How you will be assessed?
You will need to complete a weekly learner reflection to evidence your learning and take part in discussions.
How much studying will I need to do outside of the lesson?
None. However, it will be advised to practise the skills learnt and recap on the learning

Venue Information
This course/workshop is run as real-time online using Google Classroom. This means that instead of having to go to a classroom, the classroom comes to you! You are taught by a teacher and you will have classmates that you share ideas with. To take part you will need a tablet or laptop/computer with a webcam and microphone to enable you to interact. A few days before the start, your teacher will email you with instructions on how to join the class.

- A Hertfordshire Resident
- Aged 19 years or older on 1st September 2023
- UK National and lived in the UK for the last 3 years or EEA National with settled/pre-settled status and lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years
