Whizzy Words-2 Fleetville Hub

Whizzy’s Words-2 is a one-to-one early phonics intervention (3 x 20 mins) for pupils who are struggling to learn Phase 2 sounds and are not yet blending or segmenting sounds in consonant-vowel-consonant words.

• This training will:
• Share how to accurately assess pupils’ needs and identify gaps in phonic knowledge
• Show how to identify appropriate targets for intervention
• Model how to deliver this multisensory, cumulative, highly structured intervention
• Provide opportunities to practise elements of the intervention with colleagues
