    About this event

This half-day workshop supports participants to understand what is specified and quantified provision. Participants will understand the importance of ensuring provision within the Education, Health & Care (EHC) Plan is focused on SEND support, and understand the importance of the need to remove any ordinarily available provision within the EHC Plan.

Participants will explore Section F of the EHC Plan with a focus on provision for a child or young person and ensuring it is effective in relation to their needs, aspirations and preparation for adulthood, as outlined in the SEND Code of Practice and the Good Standards Guidance.

Participants will understand how the layout, content and information and advice would be used to ensure a high-quality Section F.

At the end of this course participants will be able to:

    • Explain the purpose of Section F
    • State the requirements to ensure Section F is of high quality
    • Explain what quantified and specified provision is and what it looks like
    • State which information is used to write Section F to ensure it clearly states what has been decided and what will be provided
    • Write a high-quality Section F
