About this event
This half-day workshop explores what is a SMART outcome in relation to an Education, Health & Care (EHC) Plan and how to ensure outcomes are SMART and person-centred. Participants will explore Section E of the EHC Plan with a specific focus on outcomes in relation to needs and aspirations to ensure outcomes are supporting children and young people to prepare for adulthood. At the end of this course participants will be able to:
- Explain the purpose of Section E and the requirements to ensure it is of high quality
- Explain what SMART outcomes are and what they look like
- Identify which information would be used to populate Section E
- State how information used is linked to identified areas of need and the child or young persons aspirations
- Write a high-quality Section E
