This training is aimed at SENCos and Literacy Leads working with children in Primary schools and includes Case Studies, Practical Activities and an e-folder of resources.

Aims:

• Understand the key factors impacting early literacy development
• Know how persistent literacy difficulties may present in the Primary classroom
• Know how to use informal and informal assessments to identify characteristics of persistent literacy difficulties
• Signpost to appropriate strategies and interventions for persistent literacy difficulties
