About this course
Designed to coincide with National Teaching Assistant’s Day (Friday 26th September), we’re delighted to offer a training day packed with a treasure trove of practical ideas and resources. This curated list of “Top Tips” will identify and share examples of great practice in supporting learners. Do join us online for live sessions on the day or sign up to access session recordings to support your school’s ongoing Teaching Assistant CPD for the rest of the year.
This fully funded online event will support TAs with all aspects of high-quality inclusive provision, featuring bite-sized CPD sessions delivered by a range of HFL advisers. Delegates can join us for the whole day or access sessions most relevant to them. Headteachers and senior leaders are invited to join us for an introductory briefing on “Supporting and Developing your TA team” where we will also officially launch the new Hertfordshire TA Training Directory. To finish the day, there will be an after-school session for teachers interested in the latest research, including the recently refreshed EEF guidance on the Deployment of Teaching Assistants, on how to maximise the impact of their TAs in an inclusive classroom.
Learning outcomes
- engage with evidence based “top tips” about how the TA role can most effectively support learners
- gain strategies, ideas and resources to implement straight away in your school
- develop greater confidence in facilitating learning and promoting independence in an inclusive classroom
Funded for all Hertfordshire schools as part of the HCC core contract. If you are a school outside of Hertfordshire and would like to book onto this training, then please email us here to book your place.
