    About this event

    Aims:

    This workshop focuses on ensuring our Education, Health & Care (EHC) Plans are accessible and user friendly for children and young people and their families. The session will explore what we mean by accessibility needs, with a focus of accessible language and effective signposting and methods of support.

    Course Objectives:

    At the end of this session participants will be able to: 

    • Explain what is meant by the term accessibility
    • State how to identify and support accessibility needs that families may have
    • State how to appropriately support and signpost children, young people and families with accessibility needs
    • State how to identify language that is inaccessible
    • State how to improve language to ensure it is understandable and accessible
    • Explain how EHC Plans can be made available in alternative formats

     This is an in-person event open to multi-agencies, if you are unsure if it is suitable for you please email sendacademy@hertfordshire.gov.uk. Places are limited, booking essential.
