About this event
This is a fully funded 1-hour introductory session. Sessions are held either online or may be held face to face in bespoke group sessions, subject to a minimum number of attendees.
Information about this training
The session will provide an overview in brief of:
- Warning signs that may be present in those feeling suicidal
- Key risk factors
- How to respond to those you notice may be distressed
- Information on how to access available additional support (signposting)
- Include post attendance documentation
Learning outcomes
- Participants will gain increased awareness and understanding of the signs that may indicate someone is experiencing suicidal thoughts.
- Participants will develop greater confidence in identifying distress and initiating supportive conversations.
- Participants will learn practical steps to take when supporting someone who may be at risk, including how to respond and where to signpost for help.
Who is the course aimed at?
This course is for professionals, volunteers and organisations working with adults aged 18+ in Hertfordshire.
Entry requirements to do this course
None - However the ZSA (Zero Suicide Alliance) 30-minute online course is recommended to be completed prior to this course, which is also available via this website.
