About this event
This session is for professionals who have completed the NCSCT practitioners training and will be delivering a full stop smoking service on behalf of HCC Public Health.
Information about this training
The level 2 training will cover various elements to build upon the NCSCT e-learning to enable them to confidently deliver a stop smoking service in their service. The training may be online or face to face and mostly cover practical and contractual information required to be a successful stop smoking advisor.

- Provide a recap of NCSCT module
- Introduce the kickstart process / checklist
- Overview of all NRT products including e-cigarettes
- Explore non-nicotine-based stop smoking medication
- PharmOutcomes recording requirements
- Further training and resources
Who is the course aimed at?
This course is for professionals who will be contracted to deliver a full level 2 stop smoking service within HCC or community services (GP, CP, Healthy Hubs, Secondary Care etc).
Entry requirements to do this course
Have completed NCSCT e-learning and submitted certificate to HHIS: HealthImprovementService@hertfordshire.gov.uk
How you will be assessed
No assessment at this training but you will be required to shadow real stop smoking clinic and be signed off as competent.
What happens after I book this training?
After booking the training, you’ll receive a confirmation email with details of location of training if Face to face. Post-training, a follow-up email will provide instructions to complete for your participation certificate. You’ll also have the option to engage in follow-up communication.
