Evidence Heroes and Villains mini-series - bitesize animations

About this training

This mini-series of animations (15 minutes in total) shares examples of evidence heroes and villains and describes how there are lots of pitfalls and barriers which can prevent sound decision-making in our day-to-day work. Sometimes we think our decisions are evidence-based when they are not.

The stories share examples of how to get it wrong, and how to get it right. See if you can recognise any similarities with your own practice. 

There are short animations on different aspects called Councillor Cash, Commissioning Cultures, Feedback Fallacy and Puppet Pressure.

Information about this training

This training will help learners use evidence to show the impact of your health and wellbeing services in Hertfordshire, through looking for better evidence for better decisions. 

Learning Outcomes

Learners will:

• develop their understanding and awareness of finding and using evidence to help improve planning and delivering local services
• increase their knowledge and skills in finding evidence of health interventions across a range of topics.

Who is the course aimed at?

Staff and volunteers who collect evidence of the need for their services and impact of their services that improve health and wellbeing in Hertfordshire.

What happens after I book this training?
