A workshop that looks at what lies beneath the behaviours and introduces possible strategies to use to help de-escalate situations.
This workshops focusses on supporting children’s mental health and wellbeing through planned responses, role modelling, use of language and de-escalating situations before children reach crisis.
Themes of this workshop focus on:
• Understanding the impact of our language on Neurodiverse children
• Exploring de-escalation strategies
• Becoming a positive reinforcer
• Exploring the use of limited and reduced language
