    About this event

Bushcraft, foraging and survival skills for families with teens. Get outside, learn new skills, meet new people/bring a friend, spend some intergenerational time in a different setting. Triangle Tribe is a monthly evening of Bushcraft for Wellbeing, outdoors at the community garden, for families with teens aged 12 to 16, led by forest school specialists CultureWood CiC. Grandparents welcome. Neurodiversity welcome.

Activities will vary with the seasons and are likely to include outdoor survival skills, open fire cooking, ancient fire skills, whittling, foraging, nature observation and making useful and decorative things from natural materials.

Each month will be different, mindful, inspiring and challenging for teens and adults alike. Here’s some of the feedback we’ve had from previous sessions:
    ‘Five out of five’
    ‘Lots of fun, social’
‘Nice to be outside learning practical skills’
‘We had an excellent time each week’
    ‘Felt peaceful after being outside’
‘Family time – it was really fun to try new things’
‘It was fun – I felt happy and excited for the next one!’
‘We persevered and overcame challenges to feel proud’
‘This feels like a safe space’
‘Very pleased to see this sort of thing offered to families with teens’

Skills we learnt at Triangle Tribe:
‘fire skills, foraging, smelting pewter, practical skills, cook out ideas, how to work as a team’
