    About this event

    What is it?

    A support group for parents/carers and young people (school years 6,7, and 8) who are finding attending school challenging and are not attending at all or are on a very reduced timetable.

    What will the sessions cover? 

    Topics will include: 

    • Worries and anxiety related to school
    • Friendships and social dynamics
    • Pressures
    • Health and Wellbeing
    • Neurodiversity
    • The future

    We want to hear your voice and will also tailor sessions to meet your needs. 

    Who is running the group ?

    The main facilitators are Ruth, Alison and Karina from the Intensive Family Support Team. Sessions will also be supported by a range of specialist professionals providing expert insights and support. 

    What is it for? 

    The group aims to provide a safe and supportive environment where families can share experiences, receive emotional and practical support and build confidence and resilience. 

    When is it? 

    Sessions will run for 12 weeks starting on Tues 4 November to 10 February 2026 (term time only)
