Hertfordshire County Council Services for Young People (SfYP) is offering a series of free exciting outdoor activities to young people aged 13-19 with SEND, including those with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. The activities are funded by Hertfordshire County Council Short Breaks and young people are eligible up to the year they turn 19 if they are in full time education. You don't need to register for Short Breaks to attend.
All activities develop social, emotional and physical skills in a safe and supportive environment. Young people can:
- Learn archery and compete in fun games
- Tackle a woodland balance course
- Discover and explore nature in the beautiful woodlands
Discover and explore nature in the wilderness of Hudnall Park!
These are inspiring and fun sessions that take place in our beautiful woodland. Activities may include, shelter building, natural arts and crafts, learning how to build and light a campfire, roasting marshmallows and making hot chocolate. We will also explore the woodland and look at the different habitats and wildlife that has visited our woods and film that has been captured on our trail cameras.
The session will have a maximum of 12 young people.
