About this event
We would love to welcome you to our in-person monthly support group in Croxley!
Our support group is open to all parents/carers/families who are raising children and young people with neurodiverse conditions including autism and ADHD.
This month we have James from the ISL team talking about, Hertfordshire Autism Training (HAT), launched across Hertfordshire schools and settings in September 2022.
It is comprised of a tiered training offer which is designed to develop knowledge and skills of all school staff. As part of the level 1 training, we offer a workshop on Reasonable Adjustments.
If you would like to know more about the way in which schools are expected to approach supporting learners with additional needs, please join us for an informal look at the level 1 schools/setting reasonable adjustment workshop.
Your child/young person does not need a diagnosis in order for you to access our groups, and the support group is FREE to attend.
Booking is not essential but if you do book a place via Eventbrite it helps us to anticipate numbers.
SPACE staff, Liz Stanley will be ready and waiting to welcome you.
We are a friendly, knowledgeable and supportive team, and we are all SEN parents ourselves, so we really do understand the high's and lows of raising children with neuro-developmental differences.
Teas, coffees and biscuits are all provided!
**Please note - we cannot accommodate children at this support group. Email events@spaceherts.org.uk if you have any questions**
