About this event
Did you know that Boys are 4 times more likely to receive an Autism or ADHD diagnosis?
Girls are able to fly under the radar because Autism and ADHD present differently in Girls, which means that they don't match stereotypes. Studies about the conditions were carried out on boys, therefore, gender bias can prevent girls from receiving a diagnosis.- Signs of autism and ADHD in girls can be less obvious.
- Early studies of these conditions focused on boys.
- Biases prevent girls from receiving a diagnosis.
- Gender stereotypes and social expectations.
